Woman Stole $15 Million In Shares – A Melbourne mother of six has been found guilty of stealing $15 million worth of shares belonging to a Bahamas investment company.

Rachel Maree Cowen, 35, of Berwick, was found guilty of creating a letter on a fake letterhead saying she had authority to receive the shareholdings of Bahamas company, GH Kluge.

At the time, Cowen was running a business in which she located unclaimed funds for people for a commission fee.

Cowen denied the fraud, pleading not guilty to two counts of obtaining property by deception.

A Victorian Supreme Court jury found Cowen guilty of one of the counts.

Cowen, of Berwick, frowned as the verdict was read.

She will face the same court for a pre-sentence hearing on April 16.
