What’s weird is the ichat webcam works, picks up voice and video, but even when I close ichat, it photobooth still says camera not connected?

heres a website and the video camera i will buy soon and i was wondering is this a good camera that will make my voice sound clear? because the webcam off of my laptop makes me sound weird and so im buying this, will this help me sound clear or better? also are all video cameras the same when it comes to voice?

i was wondering has anyone got pictures of the rear view of the LifeCam VX-1000 webcam or a measurement on how long the back bit goes down the back of the screen as on my lcd i think the vents bit is a bit high for it
