Open Question: I didn’t pay my state taxes 5 years ago?

I just received a bill for not paying my state taxes during 2004. I was in college at the time and worked part time for only about a month in a bar. I am not sure where my tax information is for that year. I have since lived in 4 different states – which explains why it took so long to catch up with me! And I guess I was dumb and just didn’t file them.

The bill is for about $350. I cannot imagine having to owe that much! Especially since I have always been owed money at the end of the year.

So is there a way of figuring this out and getting out of paying this??

Open Question: Can I file income tax if I draw benefits?

I recieved a statement today from Social Security that said IMPORTANT:TAX INFORMATION ENCLOSED. Can I file income tax this year. My earnings was $5,315.00, I do not know that much about filing income taxes. Any help would be surely appreciated. Thank you!
