Christine Nixon Has Been Hospitalised – The departing head of Victoria’s bushfire reconstruction authority was taken to hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning with a non-life threatening illness. She is expected to undergo surgery on Monday. It’s believed Ms Nixon’s concerned husband called an ambulance when she fell ill during the night.

Poland’s Prime Minister Dies In Plane Crash – A special service is being held in east Belfast on Sunday morning to remember all those who died in the plane crash which killed Poland’s president. Lech Kaczynski died alongside his wife, several military commanders, MPs, historians and economists while travelling to Smolensk in Russia.
