Say I have a beer can that buy from a store at $ 1.89 and I want to resell at with 30% profit (forget the state tax) I know I have to find out that 30% of $1.89 is 56.7 cents, I add it and price it as $2.46. I know how to do this, but what I don’t know is what do I do if my associate comes to me and asks me to just buy the can from me without paying for my profit. Say I don’t how much I paid for the individual can, so I don’t know that I added 56.7 cents to $1.89 to get my final price. All I have is a can that says I’m suppose to sell it $2.46 and that it’s been marked up 30%.
If anyone can help me I would really appreciate the help.
Thanks…Shawn J.

I work a full time job, and also have my own little side business, last year I earned around $3,000 with it, as I really didn’t do a whole lot with it. I am exempt from state tax, due to it being a service. But, how do I file federal taxes, and can this be done along with my regular job tax return that I file?
Another detail, is that I really had no expenses for this, other than gas, but with the earnings so low, I would probably not even claim it. All of the income was spent by myself, as another ‘paycheck’ basically.

I worked in MN and live in WI.
Long story short, I filed my Federal Taxed and my WI taxes on time, I used turbo-Tax and it included one state and one federal.
I printed my MN taxes to send in and totally forgot until today (I found the folder in my backpack).
I was entitled to a full refund because I don’t live in the state, but I work in the state.
Basically my questions are:
A. Should I still file my MN tax return?
B. Will I get any of my refund back?
C. Am I going to get in trouble…
Thanks guys and gals!
