I am currently under rent on an apartment that’s been foreclosed. The original owner hasn’t made payments since September. Over the weekend I was handed a stack of papers by a Sheriff saying that the property is now owned by a bank. What rights do I have over bills that were agreed to be payed by the owner, the rent that was never payed towards the mortgage, & security deposit?
