Nancy Schaefer Murder Suicide – Former state Sen. Nancy Schaefer and her husband died Friday of an apparent murder-suicide, Georgia Bureau of Investigation officials said. The couple was found shot to death at their home in the Habersham County town of Turnerville, north of Clarkesville.
