My sister’s and brother’s laptops got fixed recently and it’s really, really annoying. There’s always someone streaming YouTube 24 hrs a day and it makes what I want to do (FPS’s online) virtually unplayable as I have 300ms ping to every server I join.
I don’t think this is fair but they’re childish and can’t be reasoned with because my PC has been the only thing able to connect to the net for months so apparently I deserve to be unable to do anything like they had for the last few months due to their own stupidity.
I have a plan to just give each laptop+my PC a fair share of the bandwidth but I have no idea where to start. It’s just a basic Sky Broadband router…
Any help? =/
Yeh we have a pretty low bandwidth speed. We pay for like 20meg but DL speeds (even torrents) rarely break 250kbs.

This worked fine. However, i have now bought a Blue Ray player which only uses HDMI. I have sorted out the HDMI by utilising a HDMI auto switch. However, this leaves a problem with sound, as i only have one 3.5 Jack sound connection on the TV. I have tried using 2 x ”Phono to twin phono’ leads, one from each appliance, and connecting both to the TV via a 2x phono 3.5mm Jack. However, this only puts the sound through in mono. Advice on any ways around this would be greatly appreciated!
