Open Question: How can I afford to keep my dog happy?

Published on January 11, 2010 by Technology Slice

I am pregnant and can I just say I’m feeling quite inconvenienced by it all.
I live on social security in a caravan in Mt Druitt, and can barely afford to smoke pot every day, let alone tins of food and my dog’s special biscuits.
I certainly cant afford a baby crib and can’t get child support as I am unsure of the father’s identity.

As I can’t afford unnecessary items like a baby’s cot, I thought an option would be to let my newborn share with my purebred Pitbull as he has quite a spacious and comfortable bed (which I got on special on Ebay).

However, I have read a few articles in the newspaper lately about dog owners losing custody of their dogs to the RSPCA because of mistreatments.

Would forcing my beautiful dog to share with the baby be viewed by the RSPCA as inhumane? I am worried the baby’s crying would keep him awake as he’s a very sensitive sleeper.

I would hate to be considered as a bad pet owner, as I love my beautiful Chopper and would do anything to keep him happy. He comes as a priority in this situation as I have been so attached to him since I first took him from my neighbours yard as a pup.

Open Question: This may seem stupid, but would the rspca/firebrigade save an owl from a roof?

Published on January 7, 2010 by Technology Slice

Across the road from me there is an owl stuck(?) in the chimney (not a coal fire chimney) and its snowing loads and its been there for hours and before about 30 crows were attacking it. i was just wondering if the rspca or firebrigade would come and save it?
I’m really worried about it eventhough that sounds stupid but i think it might be hurt as it wont move.
there is also a woods about 20 metres away from the house.

thanks.

THANKYOUUU so much for all your answers(: im going to tell my mum to call them now :D xx
Well i called the advice line as it says ‘do not call unless it is an emergency because of the adverse weather conditions’ to check what i should do. But it turns out that the staff from the advice line are at a training day and i should visit the website (which i have already done!)
They are useless.
So i’m going to call the emergency line when my parents get back, which should be in about 5 minutes.

Thankyou for the advice xx
