Shot Baby Found On Floor – The 22-year-old mother died minutes later when her car crashed in an incident that has shocked the nation, The Courier-Mail reported. The eight-month-old boy and the 36-year-old man were shot at a house at Gracemere, near Rockhampton, about 7.50pm (AEST) last night.

Great Barrier Reef Oil Spill – Federal Environment Minister Peter Garrett says he has asked for a special panel to be established to assess the damage to the Great Barrier Reef caused by a Chinese coal ship. The bulk carrier Shen Neng 1 ran aground on the Douglas Shoal east of Rockhampton on Saturday.
