Ok I had my mom out to dinner, I was taking her home and stopped in to say hi to my step-family that my mom lives with. My younger sister who had lived there before left a cat there that I bought her son a couple years ago. I had told her to take it back to the spca and not leave it there but she said it would be fine. My step dad promised me he would take care of it.
Tiger is a tabby and when we adopted him blind in one eye, but other then that always a hugh health size cat. When I seen him I went to pick him up and he was so light and skinny and bones all sticking out I couldn’t believe it. Then I put him on the table and he couldn’t even stand on his two front paws. He was keeping the one front paw from even touching the table or ground. Now keep in mind he is blind in one and and Im sure uses his paws to get around safely. So I told my mom he needs a vet and she said they don’t have the money so I suggested to call spca they will take care of him. Then the cat fell right off the table while trying to walk to the other side, so I was like mom he needs a vet. My stepbrother started yelling at me that hes fine and they will put him to sleep. So I started yelling at him telling him if he had a broken leg would he just lay on the couch. And they say the cat is eating but is getting skinny so I would assume a problem there. I had to leave before I lost my temper and slapped my stepbrother. Anyway I got home and called the spca and placed a complaint. I feel badly but someone has to help the cat everyone there is neglecting the fact if hurt and not getting nutrition from the food its eating. What would you have done? Do you think I did the right thing?
