Okay I have done quite a bit of research and have determined my dog has a bit of separation anxiety. He is an awesome dog, I have trained him 95 % but he has an issue with the blinds and hates other dogs as well. I have had him for almost two years and at my last house I just boarded up the window b/c he kept seeing things outside or something and would tear down the blinds. He doesn’t chew on anything else, he doesn’t use the bathroom in the house and is otherwise great when I leave him for most of the day. I, like a lot of other people, don’t really want to put him in a crate b/c he is a big dog GS/Husky mix and It is just us two,so I am gone for eight hours a day during the week. He gets plenty of exercise. I take him on a few mile runs with me in the morning and I have a fenced in tennis court that I take him in every night and throw toys and such. I don’t want to have to board up all my windows in my new apartment because it looks pretty trashy. I am considering the bitter apple spray, or just buying the pull down shades. He is usually pretty good if I remember to put up the blinds when I leave, but I have lived there for a little less than a month and 3 of the 5 blinds are completely wrecked so I have to get something soon and I need some suggestions. I just don’t want to go out and buy expensive wooden blinds or other shades and have them tore down again. I need help please?

I have four cats in my 2 BR apartment and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with trying to give attention and take care of them, especially now that I’m having flea problems in the new apartment. I would NEVER get rid of any of my cats. I love them like they are my children so that’s not an option. I was just wondering how some of you deal with feeling over whelmed? I know 4 cats isn’t much but I’m taking care of them all on my own, my husband works a lot. I’m not trying to be selfish I know a lot of you have so many more animals then me I’m just looking for some advice. Thanks!
