Concepcion Chile – The death toll from a massive 8.8-magnitude earthquake that struck southern Chile early Saturday has risen to 78, Chilean officials said. President Michele Bachelet declared a “state of catastrophe” and said the death toll would rise. “Without a doubt, with an earthquake of this magnitude, there will be more deaths,” the president [...]

I have two male cats that are brothers, one is fixed the other is not. The cat that is not fixed started running around the house making the same noises female cats do when they go into heat. At first I thought it was because there was a female running around my neighbor hood, but I have never seen any other cats around my neighborhood. Another thing that i was wondering about was him spraying, if his brother is fixed then would he feel threatened to mark his own territory? I don’t smell it at all, but one morning I woke up and he had sprayed my dirty laundry it was horrible. This was the first time he had ever done this. By the way I am a first time cat owner just to keep that in mind. Should I take him to the vet and have him checked out about this screaming stuff or is it just normal. I really don’t want to have to pay another outlandish vet bill unless I seriously have to.

Hi everyone! Like most people, I was with T-Mobile and a little envious when AT&T announced exclusive rights to the iPhone (Not envious of the initial price though! LOL)
Anyway, I now own an iPhone 2G that I am using with T-Mobile service, because their plans are second to none! But, I am noticing spotty service using my iPhone 2G with T-Mobile. I go to one of my favorite grocery stores in the neighborhood and I lose service! All my other T-Mobile branded phones worked just fine in there!
And, to add insult to injury, me and a very good friend of mine both own the same exact iPhone 2G, yet hers is factory legit with AT&T and mine is unlocked and jailbroken, being used on T-Mobile and when we hang out together at our favorite bar, she has full service and bars and I have that damn “No Service” phrase in the top left corner of my phone!!
Question…..is anyone else experiencing this? I really like T-Mobile, but I’ve become addicted to the iPhone (I had an Android phone with T-Mobile prior and hated it!!) and don’t want to switch to AT&T, but will if there’s no work around for this! Any suggestions???

I understand that arnold doesnt want to impose no new taxes but if we raise the sales tax by five percent, then we can save programs for the poor like health care, in-home support services, and other programs.
In other countries like canada and europe, they have their sales taxes hovering around 12-16 percent. I say if we have sales taxes in that neighborhood, then we can reduce our budget deficit, and cut less state sponsored programs. What is your take on this?

We learn that first telephone systems were a horrible mess with simple subscriber to subscriber direct wires hanging over all the houses in the neighborhood and very clumsy to look at. Then the ” local telephone exchange” was invented and from a single central office link between any two phones was established. We also learn that only few dozen persons at most had such phones and that it was first done only in United States of America. As the number of phones increased ” the trunk telephone exchange” was invented to connect to a person in another town. Now i wish to know. When was the first trunk exchange established and where ?
