Open Question: Dog needs medical attention.. Papers and registering a pit bull?

Published on January 8, 2010 by Technology Slice

My boyfriend recently had to go out of country for a family emergency and left his pit bull in a friend’s care.. While visiting today, his friend told me that the dog got loose and got hit by a car. Without the decency to stop and check if the dog was ok, the driver left the dog on the side of the road with a broken leg (and who knows what else).

The pit bull was bought on Halloween in 2009 and all that was given with the dog was a leash.. no papers or anything. The previous owner said that he is up do date on his shots and is 10 months old (13 months old now), but that’s it.

I’m not sure how to go about getting the dog the medical attention it needs without papers, or if he needs any papers at all.

Please help? Fast?
also, any details on how much it would cost to get his leg fixed?

that would be an amazing help
To the douche bag that said “don’t sit on the computer!”..

If you read the whole thing, I state that the dog is not in my care. At 2:45 in the morning, I’m not about to knock on someone’s door and demand that they give me a dog that THEY were left in charge of. That’s asking for more problems than the dog’s broken leg.
