Open Question: How to make a wooden hole smaller for a toy tool bench?

Published on January 9, 2010 by Technology Slice

I bought a tool bench for my nephew for Christmas. The wooden bench has holes on top for the kids to put the wooden toy nail in and hammer it down. but the hole made for the nail was too big so when u put the nail on top of it, the nail just slide right through. so the kid never got the chance to use his hammer to pound the nail down the hole. does anyone know how i can make the wooden hole smaller/tighter for him to hammer down the nail? I was hoping a solution that would last. Thanks
