I’m a college freshman now entering second semester. My dad plays guitar, and I’ve been wanting to learn since I was in the seventh grade. My problem is that I always get fed up and stop practicing before I learn anything. A few months ago my dad and “learned” how to play Good Riddance by green day, but I kept getting frustrated that I wasn’t learning fast enough. (I’ve been playing flute for several years so I hate feeling like such a beginner.) Because of my classes, I can only practice about 15-30 min. a day.
I also want to note that I’m left handed but I’m playing the guitar right-handed because that’s the only way my dad can teach me. I didn’t think that this could cause a learning problem for me, but can it? Please help, I desperately want to learn!
