Australian Federal Police Investigate Google – Federal Attorney-General Robert McClelland revealed today he had referred the matter to the Australian Federal Police. The investigation relates to whether or not Google workers acted illegally in securing private information from people’s wireless internet connections while taking photographs for its Google Maps website.

Google Australia In Hiring Spree – Google is looking to boost headcount in Sydney by around 15 per cent which would tip its local workforce to just over 400 people. The internet giant employs approximately 350 people in Australia and has 51 job openings for positions.
