I had Kaiser insurance with my dad thru his job. Im 36 weeks pregnant. Baby is due Feb 2nd (in bout 3 weeks). I just found out yesterday (Fri Jan 8th) that my Kaiser insurance was terminated (Jan 1st) due to me being 19 yrs old and not being a full time student. The receptionist gave me a social workers number that works thru Kaiser for Medi-Cal. I called the social worker but apparantly she only works Tues and Thurs. Me having to wait 4 days to be able to talk to her is stressing me out and was wondering if anyone knows how long the process for applying takes??? Also if I happen to go into labor any day before I get to talk to the social worker will Medi-Cal eventually cover the labor and appointment I had yesterday with my dr??? And if not… How much does it cost for appointments and having the baby there??? Any information would be great.
