I was in Chicago a while back and was reading a sticker in the back on the cab that said it was illinois law that taxis accept credit cards. It was a couple years ago and I was a little drunk, but im almost positive thats what it said. Well i have never tried to use a credit card to pay for a taxi fare until last night. The cab company was out of Peoria, IL. We got to the destination realized we were short on cash and asked to use a credit card. Cabbie said no and called the cops. Cops escourted us to an ATM then back to my house to make sure i paid. I was pretty pissed cuz of atm fees n the fact i thought it was a law. Does anyone know if it is a state law or maybe just a chicago city law or what? thanks.

I've been wanting to smoke for a long time now but I don't want to take any risk's of getting caught, I'm thinking about doing it at night when my mom is asleep and I could just sneak out my window onto my deck and close the window so no smoke gets in my room, and I am going to use a toilet paper roll stuffed with dryer sheets to blow the smoke in so the neighbors won't smell the smoke and call the cops or something (I live by strict old people) and I was gonna smoke out of a homemade bong or an apple pipe, then I will brush my teeth and put on some cologne and deodorant, and I am gonna take my clothes off outside and stash them somewhere so I could wash them in the morning when my mom takes by brother's to school, I don't think my eyes would be red from a bong cause no smoke would get in my eye's, and then after all that just relax eat some chip's and Modern Warfare 2 on XBOX LIVE and then go to sleep.

I made the hugest mistake in my life.
I was caught shoplifting at Kohl's a month ago (1st wk of December
I signed the contract that I'll never return to Kohl's... :(
they were going to call the cops, but they didn't and decided to go as an civil demand.
they said they'll report to the Kohl's department and they said that the Kohl's department from Wisconsin will send me the bill which I have to pay,...
I know that if I don't pay immediately, I'll go to court, or even to jail(juvenile)...

I'm very worried because they are not sending me the letter/bill.
It's been more than a month. I didn't go see the security who caught me, because I can't go into the store no matter what, and I thought calling the Kohl's where I was caught won't help either.

I live with my mom, and she's very disappointed, of course....
she tries not to remind both of us about this incident and I don't want to bring it up again, either.

I heard that there's even a possibility that they'll not send me the civil demand, at all...
I doubt it though, IF, they decided not to send me the bill, won't they still send me a letter that they won't charge me for what I did?

please help me.

I'm very depressed these days,,,I regret and I wish I could go back...........

Hey, so recently I sold a tokyo marui mp5sd5 bb gun for 300 dollars. I bought this gun about 4 months ago for 400 dollars and it broke. A month ago though I refixed it with new parts that I bought for about 50 bucks. Tested it out fully for about 5 times throughout the month. So about a few days ago I sold the gun to a buyer on craigslist. He picked it up at my place and I showed him all the tips and ways that the gun could break if not handled properly and even had him test it to make sure its good, I gave him everything and even threw in extra stuff in which my post didnt even state. And i even sold it for a lower price than what my ad said (350 on ad and told him 325 on phone but sold for 300). Next day during the night, he calls me and saids he shot 2 mags and then the gun started to make some wierd noise and the bb bullets just fell out of the barrel and wouldnt shoot. I told him to try and loosen the motor out a bit and see if it coudl fix the problem. But it still made the same noise. Next thing he goes about angrily saying he wants a refund and that I sold a piece of shit to him for alot of money and that he bought a 90 dollar gun and it worked better than that. This gun I sold to him worked comepletely fine when i had it and I made sure to tell him everything about the gun and even made sure he tested it before he bought it off me. Im just scared on what he could do in terms of court, or laws, or calling the cops and all that. Like I know I don't have to give a refund since it worked perfect when I had it, and then all of a sudden next day he uses it, it breaks. What should i do, because i'm sort of scared about the laws and all that.
Yeah I told him when i had it, I broke the gun before and then I had to buy new parts to pretty much upgrade the gun.
And also to add, I didnt state that the gun was broken, I just said it was upgraded on my craigslist post. But when I was briefing him about the gun, I told him the gun broke and I was forced to pretty much buy new parts to upgrade it. And he laughed and said okay at the time when he was checking the gun out.
