I have an 18/55mm however the auto focus is not working anymore. I found this a good excuse to buy a new lens

I practically shoot everything, from portraits to night scenes, macro to far away objects. Therefore the ideal, I guess, would be a lens which has quite a range e.g. a 28-300mm. The 18-55mm is the only lens I ever had therefore I have literally no idea what’s best to buy.
I will be travelling to the U.S. this month (where I’m planning to buy my camera) and will be travelling to las vegas amongst others. So I defenitely need a lens that can capture Las Vegas’s vivacity very nicely #
However, I do not like to spend a lot!!
