Open Question: motorola cliq vs mytouch 3g?

Published on January 10, 2010 by Technology Slice

i have read plenty of reviews for both phones, i have also read all the the forums ” Cliq vs myt3g” deal in almost every website related to them. i have got to a simple conclusion
Both phones have almost the same specs, same platforms, and features, the only major differences on the cliq are the qwerty keyboard, the motorolablur, a 5mp cam, no call/send button attached so dialing really takes a lot of clicking, and the 3.5mm jack. which may be supplemented by the mytouchs: longer battery life, its already on 1.6 and is expected to receive updates more frequently, the track ball, and sleek design.

if you like to be onto your networking (myspace, face-book, twitter, etc…) and its your main focus other than speed and performance you should get the Cliq but be aware that if you are a heavy user you might be stuck with carrying your charger with you all the time to its 5-6h battery life.

if you are more into just listening to music and check your myspace and facebook accounts every now and then, go with the myt3g, its a good phone it does lagg a little just like the cliq (MOTOBLUR really gives you headaches) but nothing major, the screen its very sensible and the virtual keyboard not bad at all.

if you are looking for performance you could always root your myt3g and voilaa! both phones have great cappabilities and you always have to remember they are not a pc and will not ever surprass one.

so my quiestions for you is:

- what are some other pointers i could look at when choosing over these 2 phones?

Open Question: TV problem. I have a tv with DVI connection. I connected this to sky, using HDMI/DVI lead with audio for sound?

Published on January 9, 2010 by Technology Slice

This worked fine. However, i have now bought a Blue Ray player which only uses HDMI. I have sorted out the HDMI by utilising a HDMI auto switch. However, this leaves a problem with sound, as i only have one 3.5 Jack sound connection on the TV. I have tried using 2 x ”Phono to twin phono’ leads, one from each appliance, and connecting both to the TV via a 2x phono 3.5mm Jack. However, this only puts the sound through in mono. Advice on any ways around this would be greatly appreciated!
