State of Delaware State of Emergency

Published on February 12, 2010 by Technology Slice

The State of Delaware State of Emergency remained in full effect today following the announcement of Governor Markell. All non-essential vehicles must stay off the roads. Essential personnel such as police, rescue workers, emergency workers, as well as members of the media are the only ones allowed to drive during a state of emergency. The state of emergency will remain place until Governor Markell lifts the order.
The order from the Governor took effect at 12:01 Wednesday morning.

Abandoned vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense – so that’s definitely something to keep in mind if you are a resident of Delaware. We will be on hand to provide you with any updates from Governor Jack Markell and whether it’s safe to go back on the road following the Delaware State of Emergency.
