Soccer: USA VS Czech Republic
Soccer: USA VS Czech Republic – In a match where many players were eager to prove themselves to coach Bob Bradley, the USA fell short of a win versus the Czech Republic.
The game started quite well for the USA, as they got out to an early lead off a nice set play by Stuart Holden that Maurice Edu was able to poke into the net.
However, the Czechs scored the next two goals. They pulled level just before the half and then ahead in the second period.
Another set play led to a second USA goal, this time with Herculez Gomez applying the finishing header.
Though the deadlock lasted for a while, the Czech’s took advantage of defensive breakdowns on the part of the USA to score two late goals.
What went wrong for the USA? Who impressed despite the loss, and who crossed themselves off the World Cup list?
