Orlando Bloom Marries Miranda Kerr – Unusually, the nuptials were revealed when Kerr pulled out of an appearance at an Australian department store because it clashed with her honeymoon.
Kerr, who works as a fashion ambassador for the store, said in a statement she had been given time off to enjoy a “special moment of my life”.
No further details about the couple’s wedding have been released.
They first met backstage at a Victoria’s Secret lingerie fashion show in New York in 2006.
A year later, they began dating and confirmed their engagement last month.
Kerr, 27, had been due to attend the launch of David Jones’ Spring Season on 3 August.
A spokeswoman for the upmarket Australian store said: “Given the exciting news that Miranda and Orlando have recently wed and will be enjoying their honeymoon together, Miranda will not be with us for the launch.”
Kerr added: “David Jones very graciously released me during this period so we could celebrate an intimate ceremony and honeymoon together.
“I look forward to coming back to Australia in the near future to celebrate with family and friends.”
Last week, Kerr accompanied Canterbury-born Bloom, 33, to a ceremony at the University of Kent, where he received an honorary degree.
