Japan Earthquake Today – A major Earthquake hit the offshore of Japan today. A major 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck offshore in the Pacific Ocean. The epicenter is the Ryukyu Islands, about 50 miles off Naha, in Okinawa.

The US Geological Survey has estimated the Japanese earthquake today will cause a tsunami in Japan. Tsunami warnings are in effect.

UPDATE: Japan News is reporting that the Tsnami warning issued earlier has been cancelled.

Okinawa seashore is being evacuated due to the latest Japan earthquake. The okinawa japan earthquake today did not seem to affect the okinawa japan marine base.

A tsunami is expected imminently at Okinawa, Amami, Tokara islands of Japan after major earthquake per the Japan Meteorological Agency.

The National Weather Service does not expect a Tsunami on the West Coast of the United Statesdue to the Japan Earthquake today.
