Irvine Police Department – Irvine police of California are on the lookout for a man this Thursday evening who is suspected of robbing a retail jewelry store. The jewelry store is located on Jeffrey Road near Santa Ana Freeway.

The robbery occurred at around 2pm in the 14100 block of Jeffrey Road in Irvine. The Irvine Police Department are saying that the robber came into the jewelry business and stole jewelry.

According to Lt. John Hare of Irvine Police, when the jewel robber was confronted by the jewelry store’s employee, the robber claimed to be carrying a gun, but the employee never saw a gun on the robber.

After being confronted by the employee, the robber ran away from the scene, but is expected to be in the Irvine area. Irvine police units, including a helicopter as well as search dogs are on the search for the robber of the jewelry store. Residents in the Irvine area are being alerted by Irvine Police, via the reverse 911 system.

According to Hare, the jewelry store robber is described as a white male who is in his late 30’s, with blonde hair and he was wearing a gray shirt and jeans.
