Danni Minogue Supports Gay Marriage – Future generations of Australians will look back and wonder what all the fuss was about in relation to gay marriage, pop star Dannii Minogue says.
In a pre-recorded message to the International Day Against Homophobia Equal Love rally in her home city of Melbourne, Minogue said gay people remained second-class citizens as long as gay marriage was illegal.
“I just wanted to let you know that I fully support your cause,” Minogue said.
“It’s so important that gay people be given total equality and that includes marriage.
“Our Government continues to ban same-sex marriages and gay, lesbian and transgender communities remain second-class citizens.”
Minogue, 38, who is expecting her first child with partner Kris Smith, said the Equal Love rally could help to change the law.
“I think the next generation will look back on this issue and wonder what all the fuss is about,” she said.
