Charlie Sheen Pleads Not Guilty
Charlie Sheen Pleads Not Guilty – Charlie Sheen has pled not guilty to the domestic violence charges that got him arrested in Aspen on Christmas Day.
The “Two and a Half Men” star was silent and emotionless as his lawyer, Richard Cummins, entered the plea in Colorado’s Pitkin County District Court.
The judge scheduled a jury trial for July 21.
Sheen was charged with menacing, criminal mischief and assault after his wife Brooke Mueller told cops that he had choked her and held a knife to her throat while they argued.
Sheen denied that any of that happened, telling the police that they had slapped each other on the arms and that he’d snapped two pairs of glasses in front of her.
Less than a week after Sheen’s Dec. 25 arrest, attorneys for both sides said that the couple wanted to reconcile.
Last month, Sheen was granted a modification to the restraining order — standard practice in Colorado domestic abuse cases — that kept him from contacting his wife.
