Bush Billboard Miss Me Yet
Bush Billboard: Miss me Yet? We all know the grass is always greener on the other side, and Bush may be seeing (some of) us have a change of heart regarding our thoughts of him. I have to admit that I kind of missed George W. when I saw him on a commercial with Bill Clinton.
There Bill Clinton was, talking very smoothly about the Haitian relief efforts in his charming southern drawl (that got him in a LOT of hot water during his presidency) – and there next to him was George W. Bush. He was half smiling, and you could tell he was reading a teleprompter.
Boy were we wrong, and the Bush Billboard, which reads “Miss Me Yet?” showcases that there are many frustrated Americans.
Case and point: Healthcare reform. While it’s undisputed that something has got to give in our healthcare system, the current administration tried to pass legislation in the middle of the night that would totally change everyone in the country’s life. People were scared and outraged that they didn’t have the time to understand what was going on. Legislation was so complex, that not even the politicians passing the bill fully understood the implications.
