Bathynomus Giganteus Scavenger
Bathynomus Giganteus Scavenger – A submarine that was doing some operations under deep seawaters has explored a very horrifying critter from the ocean’s depth and this creature has left many readers startled. A technician first wrote about the critter on a website named Reddit.com but he himself was not known what thing he had explored and on post he requested readers to find out the details about bizarre looking creature. This guy works for a Sub-sea Survey Company and he says that they were busy doing their work that suddenly from somewhere this creature came up and attached with one of their ROV’s. It was 2.5 feet head to tail and it caught the marine in the depth of 8,500 feet. They did not know how it survives there and what it ate there?
The experts and scientists say this creature belongs to isopod family who dwells in deep Atlantic and Pacific waters and eats dead whales, fish and squids. This particular deep-sea scavenger is a Bathynomus giganteus. C.R. McClain says that the reason of their large sizes is the larger sized cells that found in the deep cold waters. He further explained that they even have longer lifespans due to low temperatures. He wrote, “In crustaceans, bathymetric gigantism may also in part reflect decreases in temperature leading to longer lifespans and thus larger sizes in indeterminate growers.”
